Keep a clean work-search log.
Be ready when TWC asks.

TWC can ask Texas claimants for a full work-search log any week of your benefit year - the date, employer, contact method, and result for every activity. Keep yours complete and one click from export.

If you can't show it when they ask, that week's eligibility can be questioned.

Why claimants use it

One missed week
can mean delayed money.

TWC can ask you to show your work-search activities for any week of your claim. If your records aren't ready, your payment can be held while it's reviewed.

These are the moments people tell us about most.

Audit request

"TWC asked for my work-search log and I wasn't ready."

Lost track

"I forgot which jobs I applied for last week."

Filing day

"I missed my payment request day."

Confusing rules

"I didn't know how many activities I needed."

Scattered notes

"I had notes in my phone, on paper, and in email."

What to keep

"I wasn't sure what details to keep."

How it works

What you get

A better way to keep
your work-search records.

Always-on compliance

A clear color tells you everything.

Green means you're complete. Amber means in-progress. Red means a week needs your attention. Blue means exempt. No spreadsheets to read.

  • Compliant week
  • In progress, deadline coming
  • Action needed
  • Exempt (jury duty, training, etc.)
Benefit year
Week 14 of 26
11 compliant · 1 exempt · 1 in progress · 1 missed

Filing-day reminders

SMS and email on the morning of your assigned filing day. We summarize what's already logged so you know what's missing.

Correspondence inbox

TWC determinations, action-required letters, payment confirmations - sorted, dated, and acknowledged so nothing slips past.

Audit-ready exports

One-click PDF with every activity, contact, and outcome - formatted exactly the way TWC asks for during a work-search audit.

Smart exemptions

Jury duty, training, temporary layoff, union hall, TRA, Shared Work - pick a reason and the week is waived in compliance math.

Streaks & momentum

A weekly streak that rewards consistency without gamifying anything painful. Mostly: it's nice to see green pile up.

Payment ledger

Biweekly cycle, weekly benefit amount, waiting weeks, and pending requests - all reconciled so you know what's owed and when.

What records should you keep?

The details TWC
may ask you for.

For each work-search activity, keep these in one place. WorkSearchLog asks for them as you log, so nothing's missing later.

  • Date of the activity
  • Employer or organization name
  • Type of activity (application, contact, workshop, etc.)
  • Contact method (online, in person, phone, mail)
  • Result or outcome
  • Supporting notes or documents

Source: official TWC work-search log guidance. TWC may request your work-search log at any time during your benefit year, so keeping details organized each week matters.

Only log work-search activities you actually completed. WorkSearchLog helps organize your records - it does not create work-search activity for you.

When TWC asks, you have a clean packet ready to print or save - with TWC-style fields, a cover summary, page numbers, and readable notes.

These resources are provided by TWC. WorkSearchLog is independent and helps you keep records on your phone or laptop; benefit applications and payment requests still happen through TWC.
Coverage

Texas-focused.
County-aware.

Built for Texas work-search rules first. Tell us your county and we set your weekly minimum, your filing day, and what counts as an activity in your area.

Your TWC notice controls your required number of weekly activities. WorkSearchLog helps you track and organize what you complete -- it doesn't override TWC's official requirement.

Questions

Things people ask first.

Will TWC accept logs from this app?

+

TWC lets you use their work-search log or create your own log, as long as it includes the same required details - date, employer, activity type, contact method, and result. WorkSearchLog helps you organize those details and exports them in clean PDF or CSV formats. It does not guarantee TWC approval, eligibility, or payment - those decisions stay with TWC.

Do I have to enter my Social Security number?

+

No. We never ask for your SSN, claim ID, bank info, or TWC password. We only need your email, your county, your filing day, and the activities you choose to log.

What counts as a work-search activity?

+

Common examples include applying for a job, contacting an employer about work, attending a job fair or workshop, taking a skills assessment, or registering with a staffing agency. Check TWC's official guidance for the full list - we keep a copy linked in the app.

How many activities do I need each week?

+

TWC sets the weekly minimum based on your county and program. Most claimants need three, but some areas require more. Use the county lookup or check your TWC correspondence to confirm yours.

Can I export my log if TWC asks?

+

Yes - anytime, in PDF or CSV, for any week or date range. Your data is yours; export is one tap.

Can I use this for past weeks too?

+

Yes. You can backfill earlier weeks with activities you completed but didn't write down. Each entry is timestamped when you logged it, so your record is honest about that.

Can I cancel anytime?

+

Yes. Cancel from your account settings in one click. You'll keep access through the end of the billing period and can export everything before the account closes.

Is my data private? Will you sell it?

+

Your data is private to you. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for advertising. Paid plans cover the cost of running the service. One button deletes everything if you ever want to leave.

Does AI write my work-search activities for me?

+

No. AI only helps clean up the wording of notes you already entered. It does not invent employers, dates, contacts, outcomes, or activities. All work-search information you submit to TWC must be true and accurate - that's on you, and we keep it that way on purpose.

What does this app not do?

+

WorkSearchLog does not file your unemployment claim, request payment for you, submit documents to TWC for you, or contact TWC. It helps you keep your own work-search records organized so you can file accurately and respond to TWC requests on your own.
